Discovered Beneath the Snow

In a quiet, nearly abandoned concrete lot, rescuers responded to a call about something strange partially hidden under layers of snow.

When they arrived and began clearing the snow carefully with their hands, they uncovered a small dog lying motionless beneath the icy surface.

She had likely been trapped there for close to two days.

Temperatures had fallen to around -11°C, and the tiny dog had faced the brutal cold completely alone. When the rescuers brushed away the last layer of snow from her back, she slowly lifted her eyes.

She was far too weak to stand.

But she was still alive.

The rescuers gently picked her up and held her close.

Her body felt almost weightless.

She was severely underweight, drained by hunger and exposure to the freezing weather. The team decided to name her Snow White.

Snow White was rushed straight to a veterinary clinic.

After examining her further, veterinarians estimated she was around three years old and weighed just 6.9 kilograms.

Every time someone tried to touch her, she tensed up in fear.

Even so, the veterinary staff worked patiently to stabilize her. They administered warm IV fluids, provided antibiotics, and placed her beside a heater to slowly bring her body temperature back to a safe level.

Every hour was critical.

And slowly, something remarkable began to happen.

The Long Road Back to Strength

By the third day, Snow White had already made noticeable progress.

Her body temperature had stabilized, and for the first time since being rescued, she stepped outside under the daylight. She was still cautious and unsure, but she carefully walked across the snow again.

Little by little, her strength returned.

By the twentieth day, her weight had climbed from roughly 6 kilograms to 7 kilograms. The journey wasn’t perfectly smooth—at one point she developed a mild fever and needed another round of antibiotics.

But each setback was followed by improvement.

Although she remained shy around people, her confidence slowly began to grow with each passing day.

A New Life Filled With Joy

Thirty-five days after she was found, Snow White was ready to begin a completely new chapter.

She traveled to her forever home in Downley, where a caring family had been waiting for her.

Four months later, the change was nothing short of incredible.

The fragile dog who once lay frozen beneath the snow was now lively, curious, and full of energy. Her coat had grown back thick and soft, and her bright eyes sparkled with happiness.

She ran freely around the garden, played with other dogs, and even discovered something she absolutely loved—swimming on warm days.
