Joey’s story started with heartbreak.
Somewhere early in his life, the small dog endured severe abuse that cost him both of his front legs. The injuries left him extremely vulnerable, and for many animals, experiences like that often lead to fear or distrust toward people.
It would have been understandable if Joey had become distant or defensive.

Seeing Joey’s courage made the rescuer realize something important.

That’s when the team decided to try something different: a custom-built wheelchair designed especially for dogs.

Finding the perfect wheelchair took time.
Several designs were tested and adjusted so that Joey’s body would be properly supported while he moved. Everyone waited anxiously for the moment he would try the final version.
When that moment arrived, something amazing happened.
For the first time since his injuries, Joey could move smoothly and confidently.

He took off across the yard, racing forward with pure excitement—exploring every corner and enjoying the freedom he had been missing for so long.

Today, Joey lives in a home filled with love.
He shares his days with his parents and two children who absolutely adore him. His older sibling occasionally sneaks him small treats, while his younger sister loves dressing him up in cute outfits and reading stories next to him at bedtime.
Joey rolls happily through the house in his wheelchair, moving from room to room with surprising speed and confidence.
His playful personality shows in everything he does.
Every morning feels like a brand-new adventure.
To his family, Joey has become something like the household’s little prince—charming, brave, and endlessly loved.
