His Head Caught in a Plastic Jar Known as a ‘Dabba’ — Rescuers Burrowed Through Rubble to Save Him

A Stray Dog Hiding in Fear

The video opens at a quiet construction site littered with chunks of broken concrete and scattered debris.

Between stacked slabs, a brown stray dog crouches nervously. At first, it looks like he’s simply searching for a safe place to hide. But as the camera moves closer, the heartbreaking reality becomes clear.

The dog’s entire head is stuck inside a large plastic jar — the type commonly called a “Dabba” in India.

The rigid container completely covers his face.

Unable to see where he’s going, the dog stumbles across the uneven ground. Finding food or water becomes impossible, and breathing inside the tight plastic container grows harder with every passing moment.

Terrified and confused, he squeezes himself beneath the concrete slabs, trying to hide from the strange object that has trapped him.

Rescuers Arrive at the Scene

Thankfully, a rescue team arrives soon after receiving a report about the trapped animal.

One rescuer carefully climbs over the unstable rubble with a long-handled rescue net. The ground is filled with loose debris and stacked concrete, making every step slow and cautious.

After scanning the area, the team finally spots the dog hiding beneath the slabs.

They quickly begin coordinating a plan to get him out safely.

Video: The Moment Rescuers Free a Dog From a Plastic “Dabba”

One rescuer gently encourages the frightened dog to move out from his hiding place while another stands ready with the net.

As soon as the dog steps away from the rubble, the rescuer quickly throws the net, safely securing him before he can run back into the debris.

Inside the net, the dog struggles for a moment, overwhelmed and confused.

But the net allows the rescuers to hold him safely while they begin the delicate task of removing the plastic jar.

Two rescuers work together.

One carefully holds the dog still, keeping him calm and preventing sudden movements. The other grips the plastic container around the dog’s neck.

Because the jar is wedged so tightly, it won’t come off with a simple pull.

Instead, the rescuer slowly twists and rotates the container while applying steady pressure.

Every movement must be controlled to avoid scraping or injuring the sensitive skin around the dog’s neck.

After several careful attempts, the container finally begins to loosen.

Then, with one final twist, it slides free.

A Quick Return to Freedom

The moment the plastic jar comes off, the rescuers remove the net.

The dog instantly jumps to his feet.

For a brief second, he pauses — almost as if realizing that the strange object around his head is finally gone.

Then he runs.

Within seconds, the brown dog sprints across the open ground and disappears from the construction site, free once again.

Preventing the Same Danger Again

Before leaving, the rescuers take one last precaution.

They crush the plastic jar under their feet, breaking it into pieces so it can never trap another animal.

For stray animals living among human waste and discarded objects, even something as simple as a plastic container can turn into a life-threatening trap.

But thanks to quick action, patience, and compassion, this dog’s story ends with something far more hopeful.

A second chance to live freely again. 🐾
